A Study on Middle-aged Women's Experiences in Master's Program of Art Therapy

Abstract

|
The purpose of this study was to understand the meaning and essence of experiences with a master's course in art therapy among middle-aged women that entered a graduate school. The subjects include ten middle-aged women that entered a graduate school and were taking a master's course in art therapy. Data were collected with the focus group interview method on June 20-22, 2016 after the subjects were divided into two groups. The qualitative analysis results of collected data show that there were 95 meaning units, which were categorized and integrated into 24 subtopics and seven essential topics. It was thus found that the meaning and essence of experiences with a master's course in art therapy among the middle-aged women that entered a graduate school included , , , , , and . Through these result, we could understand the meaning with a master's course in art therapy among middle-aged women that entered a graduate school.
